A macular hole mostly caused by vitreous shrinkage which causes a blurred spot in the eye. This can sometimes be corrected by a Vitrectomy. Air is inserted in the eye to close the hole and over a few weeks it continues to close further. This is an artistic view of the air bubble getting smaller.

This is a medical operation to help the sight return to a tolerable state after a macular hole. I have 95% recovery of the sight in the eye, however, I was diligent regarding the head-down position for recovery byothe doctor’s directions. |
