This recent work depicts abstract shields as metaphors for the personas we affect in order to interact with the world.
Our ever-changing existence throws new obstacles in our path, which we must either defend ourselves against, or
challenge. This work is an exploration of these protective personal devices.

The technique used to investigate this concept is based on watercolor, which is a hard traditional medium to control
when worked on large areas. These large watercolors are then digitized and used against one another to form a balance
between our personal personification and the natural world.
